SEMI-PRODUCTS Billets with square cross section 1- Semi-products (billets) are produced according to ASTM, DIN, EN, BS, JIS and TS standards for mainly reinforcing and structural purposes. It is also possible to produce grades with some deviations in analysis on special request. 2- Semi-products (billets) are produced in sizes of 100 x 100, 110 x 110, 115 x 115, 120 x 120, 130 x 130,140 x 140, 150 x 150, 160 x 160,170 x 170, 200 x 200 mm by continuous casting method. 3- Billets are normally sheared into lengths of 12 m. unless otherwise specified by the customer. Billets can also be sheared into lengths of 4-12 m. on request. 4- Tolerance limits for the billets are given below: Length : +- 100mm Side Length : +- 3mm Corner Radius : 10mm max. Out of Straightness : 1% max. Permissible Twist : 1°/m. Max. Difference between diagonals : 6% max. Hook end : 30mm max. 5- The billets are normally secured with minimum of four tensioned flat steel bands upon customer request. 6- The heat number is indicated on each billet and traceability of the product is ensured at all stages from tapping to after sale services with its specific heat number. 7- Certificates comprising chemical analysis referring to the heat number are dispatched with delivery.
