COMPANY PROFILE:
Our company, Ege Çelik Endüstrisi Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., bought Aliağa steel plant of Çukurova Çelik Endüstrisi A.Ş. in November 2001, while continuing investment in a steel making plant and its port in Aliağa since June 1986. From that day on, the plant has been continuing operation with electrical arc furnaces at 1,974,000 tons per year capacity and a rolling mill at 500,000 tons per year capacity. Our company is among the first 500 biggest companies of Turkey.
Our port facility, called Liman İşletmeleri ve Nakliyecilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., islocated at Nemrut Bay with a loading-discharging capacity of 7,500,000 tons per year.
Our main products of steel billets, wire rods and reinforcing bars are produced in our steel making plant and in our own rolling mill with the latest technology. Our products are preferred in the United States, European Union countries and the Far East as well asin our local market.
Our short-term and long-terms plans include environmental friendly and cost cutting investments in accordance with the European Union integration program.
